Phil’s earliest memory of country music dates back to family holidays, where he brought along Kenny Rogers Greatest Hits and a record player—an experience that helped spark a deep and lasting love for the genre.
Over the years, Phil has closely followed the evolution of country music and is especially excited by the new generation of artists who are making waves today with fresh sounds and powerful storytelling. At the same time, he remains dedicated to celebrating the rich heritage of classic country music.
Each weekday morning from 6am to 10am, Phil hosts the HR Country Breakfast Show, blending today’s hits with timeless classics, keeping listeners entertained, informed, and connected to the heart of country music.
