Dublin in 2024, a dedicated group of presenters came together to keep the spirit of hospital radio alive—expanding listening choices for those living alone, recovering from a hospital stay, or simply in need of great music and friendly company. Recognising the lack of accessible country music for Irish fans, and building on the popularity of an overnight service that ran for over 40 years, Phil led the way in exploring this new venture. The result was HR Country, launched in late 2025, now bringing a rich blend of today’s best country music hits and yesterday’s classics. With a growing and loyal audience across the country music scene tuning in, the simple goal is to keep you company with your favourite country songs all day long.
