Mick Nash is a familiar voice in radio, bringing decades of experience and a genuine love of broadcasting to HR Country.
Mick’s radio journey began in 1989 at just 16 years of age, when he first got involved in hospital radio at St. James’s Hospital, later moving on to Beaumont Hospital Radio. These early years helped shape his passion for entertaining listeners and being part of a radio community.
In the early 2000s, Mick relocated to the Midlands, making it difficult to continue broadcasting, and he stepped back from radio for a number of years. However, in 2021—after nearly 18 years off air—he made a welcome return to the airwaves with St. Ita’s Hospital Radio, embracing modern technology to broadcast from home and reconnect with listeners.
Now part of the team at HR Country, Mick hosts Country Afternoons, bringing great music, warmth, and personality to the show. With his relaxed style and love of country music, Mick continues to do what he enjoys most—entertaining audiences and being part of a passionate radio family.
